Dan Batz

A former professional baseball player in the Dodgers organization and two-time All American for the University of Rhode Island, Trainer Dan Batz studied Kinesiology with a concentration in Health Fitness. During his senior year at U.R.I. he received the Atlantic-10 Conference Player of the Year award, as well as the Senior Male Athlete Award.

A three-sport athlete in high school, fitness has always been a big part of Dan’s life, and he specializes in sport-specific training, core training, tone and firm workouts, weight loss, and muscular strength and endurance.

But you don’t have to be an athlete to benefit from having Dan as your best personal trainer – as owner and operator of Pasadena Elite Fitness, Dan works with men and women of all ages and shapes, and helps make them healthier, stronger and more fit.

While playing in the Dodgers organization, Dan completed an internship with the minor league strength and conditioning coordinator. Upon finishing his professional career, he became A.C.E. Cali King

Cali King is a graduate of San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis as a Fitness Specialist. As an athlete since she was five years old, exercise has been at the center of her life for as long as she can remember. As a NCAA Division 1 Cross Country/ Track and Field athlete and as the captain of both her high school and college teams she learned how to work with and motivate a diverse group of people to accomplish both their individual goals as well as the team’s goals. Being an athlete has exposed her to many different training modalities and styles.

Her senior year she interned in the San Diego State Athletic Department Weight Room working with the various Division 1 teams on strength and conditioning. In addition to working with athletes Cali also works with mature clients focusing on weight loss and healthy living. She takes each client’s fitness journey personally to ensure that she does all that she can to help them achieve their goals.

Carlo Micalizio

Carlo has been a professional trainer for over 20 years and is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine. He is a former Emergency Medical Technician and is CPR and AED certified through the American Heart Association. Specializing in Anatomy and Physiology, Carlo has also served as an Ad Hoc instructor at the Southern California Health Institute.

Carlo has been a competitive natural bodybuilder and was the 1st place finisher in the Iron Gladiator Natural Bodybuilding Competition in 2007. Now, he is an avid trail runner and Spartan Race competitor and is constantly on the hunt for the next challenge.

A functional movement and core conditioning specialist, Carlo’s training style is constructed to enhance movement, flexibility, and function in everyday life. He combines aspects of HIIT training, resistance training, and circuit training to give the client the most well-rounded and efficient session.
